Leadbitter Walking Tightrope - Ipswich Town News
Town midfielder Grant Leadbitter is walking a disciplinary tightrope having picked up his ninth booking of the season at Scunthorpe on Tuesday.
The former Sunderland man will face a two-match ban effective immediately if he is yellow-carded again before the second Sunday in April. Earlier in the season, the 24-year-old missed the game at Crystal Palace having amassed five cautions.
At the start of the season, the FA amended their rules regarding the deadline for suspensions for five bookings. The cut-off date is now the end of December rather than the end of February.
David Norris is currently on four bookings but a fifth on Saturday would not see him face the ban he would have received last season.
