Murphy in Irish Squad - Ipswich Town News
Keeper Brian Murphy has been belatedly called into the Republic of Ireland squad for their friendly against Brazil at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium next Tuesday. The 26-year-old was initially left out of the Irish party.
Murphy is yet to win a senior cap but was in the squad for the World Cup play-offs against France at the end of last year.
The glovesman is replacing Scunthorpe stopper Joe Murphy, who has a wrist injury presumably picked up trying to strangle Connor Wickham during the 1-1 draw at Glanford Park on Tuesday.
