Smith Staying With Brentford - Ipswich Town News
Central defender Tommy Smith says boss Roy Keane has told him he can remain at Brentford until the end of his loan spell. Last month, Keane said he might consider recalling the newly capped New Zealand international before his 93 days at Griffin Park were up.
However, Smith says he has now been told that he will remain with the League One side: "Roy's happy for me to stay until my loan's up, then I'll have the last month of the season at Ipswich. He's keen to see how I've improved."
Smith, 20 later this month, has made seven appearances for the Bees since joining them on loan in January.
