Scunthorpe Abandon Appeal - Ipswich Town News
Scunthorpe have abandoned plans to appeal against Cliff Byrne’s red card against Town on Saturday due to a lack of video evidence.
The Iron skipper was red-carded for sending Jack Colback to ground with his arm well away from play, and therefore the cameras, during the second half of Town's 1-0 victory.
Byrne faces a five-match ban as Saturday’s dismissal was his third of the season.
Town’s appeal against Damien Delaney’s red card later in that game will be heard at 1pm this afternoon.
