Keane Speculation Starts Again - Ipswich Town News
Tuesday’s defeat at Watford again has the tabloids speculating that Roy Keane’s time as Town manager may come to an end sooner rather than later. One report this morning claims Keane and Marcus Evans will hold talks before the end of the season.
Town’s owner and chairman is said to be less than impressed with the Blues’ position in the table and with the style of football, while players are claimed to be unhappy with Keane’s management.
Reports that Keane’s time as manager would be coming to an end have appeared fairly regularly throughout the season, particularly during the long winless run, with chief executive Simon Clegg previously giving the Blues boss his and Marcus Evans’s backing.
However, Evans is unlikely to have been impressed with the Blues struggles at the wrong end of the table this season, having invested significant sums to help Town into the Premier League.
