Another Dane Linked - Ipswich Town News

George Burley's secondary target may be 23-year-old Danish winger Dennis Rommedahl. The winger currently plays for PSV in Holland, but is not a regular in their side and has been unsettled for a while.

Town have been linked with a number of Danish internationals over the summer including Jon Dahl Tomasson, Marc Nygaard and Martin Jorgensen. Burley has definitely watched the Danes play and, given his denials that he is after any of the above, a move for Rommedahl is not unfeasible.

Rommedahl signed a new contract earlier in the year, but he has spent more time outside the first team than in it since Bobby Robson took him to Holland in 1997. He has had a loan spell at RKC Waalwijk and previously played in Denmark with the epically named Hoje Fladsaxe IF, Gladsaxe Hero and B93.

Like Finidi George and Martijn Reuser he is a right-sided player and described as very quick.

He is said to be rated at around the £6 million mark, although Town would be unlikely to splash out as much as that on him.
