Murray on Scoresheet for Ireland - Ipswich Town News
Academy striker Ronan Murray was on the scoresheet as the Republic of Ireland U19s beat Poland 4-2 in a friendly in Dublin last night. Fellow Blue Ian McLoughlin was also in the Irish side.
Murray, winning his 10th U19 cap, netted Ireland’s third goal in the 67th minute, having sent in the cross which led to the second three minutes earlier.
Keeper McLoughlin, making his debut at this level, is reported to have made a couple of fine saves but made an error which led to the first Polish goal when he dropped a cross.
The Irish youngsters take on the Poles again in another friendly on Thursday. The games are preparation for Ireland’s European Championships qualifying elite phase matches in Ukraine in May when they take on England, the hosts and Bosnia.
