Bruce: Jack\'s Coming Back - Ipswich Town News
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has confirmed that loan midfielder Jack Colback will return to the Stadium of Light in the summer, despite the Blues wanting to sign the 20-year-old on a permanent basis. Colback has been one of Town’s best performers this season, having moved to Portman Road on loan last summer.
Bruce says he hopes Colback and striker Martyn Waghorn, currently on loan with Leicester, can emulate the impact two of his other young players have made this season: "We’ve had rave reviews about both of them and the two clubs would like to make the deals permanent, but they will be coming back here.
"And the challenge for them is to do what Jordan [Henderson] and, lately, David [Meyler] have done. They both have the potential to become very good Premier League footballers.”
