Upson Nets First Senior Goal - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Ed Upson netted the first senior goal of his career for his loan club Barnet on Saturday afternoon. The 20-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, volleyed home in the final moments but couldn’t prevent a 2-1 defeat to Macclesfield.
Upson had come on as a late sub and so far has made one start and three appearances from the bench for the Bees.
Meanwhile, Kevin Lisbie played the full 90 minutes as Colchester beat Swindon 3-0 at home, Colin Healy was in the Falkirk side which beat St Mirren 2-1 and Liam Trotter and Millwall beat Gillingham 4-0.
Tamás Priskin played the full 90 minutes as QPR won 2-0 at Crystal Palace, while Alex Bruce was an unused sub as Leicester won 2-1 at Peterborough having recovered from his recent hernia operation.
Elsewhere, Pim Balkestein missed Brentford’s 3-0 victory over Huddersfield due to a groin injury, while Jon Stead, currently at Coventry, is out of action for the season having undergone cartilage surgery earlier in the week.
