Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins has hinted that his club may allow striker Gary Hooper to move on in the summer. Town, Leeds, QPR and Derby are all understood to be interested in signing the 22-year-old former Grays Athletic man.
Adkins said: "Billy Sharp and Martin Paterson moved on for big money and Gary Hooper is the next logical one
"We are trying to be a developmental club where we allow players to come in, develop and move on to bigger and better things for a decent fee."
Hooper, rated at around the £1 million mark, is out of contract in the summer of 2011 and this summer is likely to be the last chance the Iron will have to cash in on him.
On Friday, boss Roy Keane said he will be looking to sign four or five players in the summer and admitted that several members of the current squad could be on their way out of Portman Road during the close season.
