Mallorca Said to be Confident - Ipswich Town News
Reports in the Spanish press today say that Real Mallorca are confident the Finidi George deal will go through. They do admit, however that the biggest stumbling block could be persuading the player himself.
He will be back in Palma today and it is thought unlikely that he will join up with the Mallorca squad, still in Austria. Tonight they play Arsenal, but there is little chance of a Richard Wright v Finidi George showdown.
Mallorca president Mateo Alemany has accepted a bid of £3.7 million for Finidi and only minor details are left to be settled between the two clubs. They hope the deal will be done in the following days, but it remains to be seen whether Finidi himself decides he wants to move to Town.
