U18s Beat Pompey - Ipswich Town News
Town U18s were convincing 4-0 winners over bottom-of-the-table Portsmouth at Playford Road on Thursday afternoon.
After a goalless first half, full-back Seb Dunbar - who was offered a professional deal until September a fortnight ago - opened the scoring with a fine left foot shot from a narrow angle.
A Caolan Lavery hat-trick, the first of which was a tremendous curling shot from 25 yards, sealed the win over a young Pompey side who tired after the interval.
U18s: McLoughlin, Bennett, Dunbar, Hyam, Meekings, Eastman, Jones, Brandon, Lavery, Simmons, Carson. Subs. McKeown, Whight.
