Town manager George Burley has said that he wants to sign at least two players before the new season starts. One is Finidi George while the other man remains a mystery.
Burley said: "If we manage to sign Finidi I don’t want that to be the end of my summer spending. I want at least one other player who could go straight into the first-team squad. There could actually be as many as three or four new players coming in, because I am also keen to sign younger players we can groom for the future."
Last season Nabil Abidallah and Guillermo Graaven were brought in and already this summer Chris Hogg has arrived from York.
Burley added that he feels his squad needs increasing: "We have room for new faces. We don’t have the biggest of squads — in fact we had to cancel a reserve game on Wednesday because we don’t have enough numbers."
