Liam Trotter says he is making no decision on his future quite yet. The 21-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is currently on loan at Millwall with Lions boss Kenny Jackett having made it clear he would be interested in signing the Ipswich-born player in the summer.
Trotter said: "I think it's just a case of waiting for the season to finish. There's no need to rush anything because, although I am out of contract, I'm comfortable with the situation I'm in and I'm focused on making sure I get Millwall up and into the Championship and we'll take it from there.
"Whatever happens, happens. If I worry about things like that too soon then it may or may not affect my football, so I'd rather not take that risk."
The 21-year-old says he’s not sure whether he’ll be given a new deal by the Blues: "It could go either way so I'm not focussing on it too much, I'm just waiting for the season to end and getting Millwall up so that whatever needs doing can be done."
Trotter, perhaps hinting that he might favour a move to South London, says that he increasingly feels at home at the Den: "When you come on loan to a club, especially one where you're there for a long time, you start to become part of the make-up of the club as you become more and more involved.
"Right now I feel like a Millwall player: it's how I think and certainly how I hope everybody thinks of me.”
