Town Pair in Action - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Liam Trotter and striker Connor Wickham are in action tonight with loan club Millwall and the England U17s respectively.
Trotter’s Lions face Huddersfield in the second leg of their League One play-off semi-final at the Den, the first game having ended 0-0 (Sky Sports One, 7.30pm). The winners will meet Swindon in the final, the Robins having beaten Charlton 5-4 on penalties last night after a 3-3 draw.
Former Blue Scott Barron is also likely to feature for Millwall, while ex-Town men Jordan Rhodes and Gary Roberts are regulars in the Huddersfield side.
Wickham and England begin their European U17 Championships campaign in Liechtenstein with a game against the Czech Republic (Eurosport2 UK, 7.30pm). The youngsters subsequently take on Greece on Friday and end their group games when they face Turkey on Monday.
Elsewhere, West Ham are reported to have ended any interest they had in Wickham, who is understood to be the subject of a £5 million offer from Spurs, a deal the Hammers are claimed to have been unable to match.
West Ham, Fulham and Spurs are the clubs who have been keeping closest tabs on the 17-year-old striker this season.

Blackburn Rovers 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match AbandonedTown look set to face a return trip to Blackburn Rovers later in the season after this afternoon’s game was abandoned after 80 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch with the home side 1-0 up and with the Blues down to 10 men. Jacob Greaves was shown a straight red card four minutes after the break for hauling down Yuki Ohashi, then Rovers skipper Todd Cantwell netted a penalty on 59, but the heavy rain had made the game increasingly farcical the longer it progressed and in the 80th minute referee Stephen Martin took the players off and then 25 minutes later abandoned it entirely.
