Murray Wins 12th Cap - Ipswich Town News
Striker Ronan Murray won his 12th Republic of Ireland U19 cap as his side lost 1-0 to England in the opening game of their European U19 Championships elite qualifying group in Kiev this lunchtime. Town keeper Ian McLoughlin was an unused sub.
Murray was substituted at half-time, while Tottenham winger Andros Townsend, a player the Blues could be interested in signing on loan this summer, came on for England for the last half hour.
The Irish youngsters take on hosts Ukraine on Friday in Borodinka and finally Bosnia-Herzegovina, also in Kiev, on Sunday.
