Cap for Murray - Ipswich Town News
Striker Ronan Murray won his 14th Republic of Ireland U19 cap as his side beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-0 in their final European U19 Championships elite qualifying group game in Kiev. The victory wasn’t enough to take the Irish youngsters to the finals with England winning the group.
England, who had beaten Ireland earlier in the week, drew with hosts Ukraine, who the Irish beat in their second match, to seal qualification for the finals.
Murray was introduced as a sub in the 69th minute against the Bosnians, having started the first game and also being used from the bench in the second match. Town keeper Ian McLoughlin was an unused sub in all three games.
