More Pre-Season Games Announced - Ipswich Town News
Town have announced more locally based pre-season fixtures ahead of the 2010/11 campaign. Matches at Newmarket Town, Haverhill Rovers, Leiston and Bury Town have been added to the game with Hadleigh United.
The Blues start their programme with a fixture at Newmarket Town on Tuesday 6th July (KO 7.45pm). The match at Hadleigh United follows on Saturday 10th July (KO 3pm)
A reserves side will travel to Haverhill Rovers on Saturday 17th July (KO 3pm), the same day as the first team are in action in Eindhoven against PSV.
Town XIs will also play at Leiston on Tuesday 27th July (KO 7.45pm) and again the following day at Bury Town (KO 7.45pm).
The senior games already arranged are the PSV match on Saturday 17th July (KO 7pm) and a visit to Southend on Friday 9th July.
Town will play home friendlies with West Ham on Saturday 31st July and
a Spurs XI on Tuesday 3rd August.
The Blues start pre-season training at Playford Road on Monday with Tommy Smith joining the rest of the squad on July 16th having been given an extended break after the World Cup.
