Williams Linked With Assistant Role - Ipswich Town News
Former midfielder Geraint Williams has been linked with the Town assistant manager’s role Roy Keane is looking to fill before the start of the season. Ex-Colchester boss Williams was sacked by Leyton Orient in March.
Keane revealed that he was looking for a new deputy in April with ex-Watford and Reading manager Brendan Rodgers, who has been linked with the vacant boss's job at Leicester, believed to be his preferred choice. On Monday, the Blues boss admitted he was no nearer making an appointment.
Despite his local links, Williams would appear to be very much an outsider for the job.
