Burley on Finidi Deal - Ipswich Town News
George Burley has spoken about the completion of the Finidi George deal. The Nigerian is likely to sign for Town on Thursday.
Burley said: "Everything has been settled with Real Mallorca and Finidi has told us he will be arriving in Ipswich on Thursday. It has been a long, drawn-out affair with Mallorca. They have not been easy to deal with."
And Burley says he would have bought Finidi even if he had been Euro cup-tied: "Even if we cannot play him in the UEFA games because he is cup-tied we would still want to sign him. He is a very good player and would be a big asset to the squad."
With Finidi now withdrawn from the Mallorca squad this fear has been allayed.
