Keane Pleased With Newmarket Victory - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Roy Keane felt the 9-1 victory at Newmarket was “a decent run-out” for his side. Pablo Couñago scored three times, Owen Garvan twice and Lee Martin, Grant Leadbitter, Alan Quinn and Colin Healy once each.
Keane said: "It’s the first game, we’ve only been back about a week or so. I think it was enjoyable, I hope the fans thought so, and everyone seemed come through without any injuries.
"We wanted to give everyone at least 45 minutes and we’ve done that. It was a decent run-out.”
The Blues boss added that there had been no developments regarding players coming in or going out.
