Your Chance to Take on the Blues - Ipswich Town News

One Town fan will have a unique chance to face the Blues when Ipswich and East Suffolk take on Roy Keane’s squad at Twenty20 cricket in Chantry Park on Friday 23rd July (6.15pm). A place in the Ipswich and East Suffolk team will go to the highest bidder in an auction.

If you fancy whistling a bouncer past Pablo’s ear or reckon you could bamboozle Tamás Priskin with your googly, email a bid along with your name, address and phone number to iescc2020@virginmedia.com. More details and a running total are on the Ipswich and East Suffolk website.

Proceeds from the match will go to the Cancer Campaign in Suffolk, one of Town’s nominated charities. A framed shirt worn and signed by Australian cricket legend Shane Warne is the top prize in the raffle with tickets available from the Cancer Campaign in Suffolk office at 39-41 Elm Street, Ipswich or by phone on 01473 211884. Entrance and parking are free for the match via London Road.

The Blues were previously in cricketing action against Ipswich and East Suffolk during pre-season in 2007 and 2008.

Two nights prior to the game against Town, Ipswich and East Suffolk play another Twenty20 match involving the Ipswich Witches speedway team. Proceeds from that match will go to paralysed former Witches rider Kim Jansson.
