Murphy Looking Forward to PSV - Ipswich Town News

New Town number one shirt Brian Murphy says he’s looking forward to Saturday’s friendly against PSV at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven (KO 7pm). Murphy is expecting a somewhat bigger test than the first two pre-season games against Newmarket and Histon, which the Blues won 9-1 and 6-0.

The former Bohemians man told the club site: "It's still early in pre-season and for me it's about getting my bearings, getting my positions right from set-pieces and that sort of thing.

"The sharpness and fitness is obviously important as well, but I also want to win every game and play in every game and it will be no different on Saturday.

"It will be a different kettle of fish for us to the two games we have played so far, but we're all looking forward to it. It will be a big test for us but if we go out and play like we have been during training, then we will be OK."

The Blues are also in action more locally on Saturday with a reserves side taking on Great Yarmouth Town at the Bloaters’ Wellesley Ground (KO 3pm). Further details on Town's pre-season games can be found here.
