Murphy Completes Celtic Move - Ipswich Town News
Former loanee Daryl Murphy has completed his move from Sunderland to Celtic or a fee believed to be £1.3 million. Murphy has signed a three-year deal at Parkhead.
The Irishman scored six goals in 18 games during a loan spell during the second half of last season and was understood to be keen on a permanent switch to Portman Road.
Elsewhere, Swansea have confirmed the appointment of Brendan Rodgers as their new manager. Rodgers was understood to be amongst Roy Keane’s potential targets for the new role of Town assistant manager.
Meanwhile, ex-Town striker Darryl Knights has signed for Blue Square North side Newport County.
