Stewart Praises Bent - Ipswich Town News

Marcus Stewart has praised you Town striker Darren Bent, but says that he and Titus Bramble are likely to go the same way as Kieron Dyer, Richard Wright and James Scowcroft at some point in the future.

Stewart said of the latest home-produced youngster to enter the first team: "Darren Bent is the best young lad I have seen at a professional club. I can honestly say that and he is going to score a lot of goals one day and make himself a lot of money."

But Stewart doesn't see the Blues holding on to Bent or Titus Bramble in the long-term: "It happened with Kieron Dyer, David Johnson and it happened with Scowy and Wrighty. I am sure one day it will happen to Titus and Darren Bent. We have got them now and we are obviously trying to keep them - but we are not a massive club at the moment. We are a big club in the First Division, but in the Premier League we are on a par with Coventry. Hopefully when we increase the capacity and get more revenue we won't have to sell players, but until that happens I am sure that's what we will have to continue doing to keep afloat and for the club to progress."
