Tiofack in Irish Squad - Ipswich Town News
New academy striker Carel Tiofack has been named in the Republic of Ireland U17 international squad for an eight-nation friendly tournament in Hungary next week. Tiofack has just started the first year of his scholarship at Playford Road.
The Irish youngsters travel to Budapest on Monday ahead of Wednesday’s game against Croatia in Telki. Their following fixture will be against either Hungary or Belgium the next day depending on the first day’s scorelines.
On the Saturday, Ireland will face team from the other group, one of Czech Republic, Israel, Romania or Serbia.
The games are a warm up for the European Championships first phase qualifiers against Albania, Norway and Malta, who will be hosting the group games, in September.
