Fülöp Move Edging Closer - Ipswich Town News
Town are close to completing their £750,000 move for Sunderland keeper Márton Fülöp, according to reports on Wearside. On Wednesday, Blues boss Roy Keane said he expected to know whether or not the deal would be done within 48 hours.
Fülöp is keen on a move to Portman Road in order to play first team football, but it is likely that the 27-year-old will have to take a pay-cut to make the switch, while the Black Cats may have to come to some settlement on the remaining year of the Hungarian international’s Stadium of Light contract.
According to the reports, all parties are now closer to an agreement and the deal now looks more likely to be completed than it did earlier in the week.
Fülöp is understood to have turned down newly-promoted La Liga side Hercules, while Anderlecht, Olympiakos and two unnamed Premier League sides have also been linked.
