Stewart Not Downbeat - Ipswich Town News
Marcus Stewart doesn't seem too downbeat after he failed to make Sven-Goran Eriksson's England squad yesterday. Stewart has said all along that he would like to play for England but isn't expecting to be honoured.
Speaking about this latest squad he said: "My main priority is to play and do well for Ipswich, anything else is a bonus."
Perhaps Eriksson's failure to pick him will prove a motivator for the new season while Town bosses may be to some extent relieved as their prize striker will now not return with an injury.
