Martinez Confirms Town Interest in Scotland - Ipswich Town News
Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has confirmed Town’s interest in Trinidad and Tobago international striker Jason Scotland, as first revealed on TWTD at the end of last week. However, the Spaniard says the Blues face opposition from other Championship clubs for the 31-year-old frontman.
Martinez says he will talk to the various interested sides: "It’s not the first time that a few clubs have been in for one of our players. We’ll see what happens.
"It’s fair to say there is strong interest there from Ipswich Town, and a few other clubs have also asked us about Jason. It’s just a case now of sitting down with all the parties and working out what is the best move for Wigan Athletic.”
On Saturday, Town boss Roy Keane said he was looking to sign two players before Wednesday.
