Ross McCormack’s agent has confirmed that he has spoken to Town regarding the Cardiff striker. McCormack is understood to be part of a proposed swap deal which would see Blues striker Jon Stead move in the other direction on either a loan or permanent basis.
McCormack’s representative Willie McKay said: "I have spoken to Ipswich chief executive Simon Clegg about Ross and we are now waiting for Ipswich to make a formal offer to Cardiff.
"Once that happens and an offer is accepted we will discuss personal terms with Ipswich. However, there are a four or five others clubs also chasing Ross and we will see offers come in for him."
McCormack, 23, is believed to have become frustrated by his lack of first team opportunities with Cardiff. SPL giants Celtic are reportedly amongst the other interested parties.
