Town have signed Tottenham left midfielder Andros Townsend on a season-long loan. TWTD first revealed the Blues' interest in the 19-year-old back in May.
Boss Roy Keane said: "He's a lad with a lot of potential. We've had good reports on him and we are delighted to have him here."
The Blues sent a representative to watch the quick winger in action in a friendly against Chelsea at Tottenham’s training ground on Wednesday. The game had been arranged to show off the clubs’ young talent to sides interested in taking their players on loan.
Townsend, who played in all three of Tottenham's games on their pre-season tour of the USA, came through the Spurs academy and went on loan to Yeovil Town at the end of the 2008/09 season, scoring one goal in 10 starts.
The 6ft tall midfielder spent the first half of last season at Leyton Orient, where former Blue Geraint Williams was then boss, netting two goals in 20 starts and six appearances.
In January the England U16 and U19 international moved on to the MK Dons, where he made eight starts and one sub appearance, scoring twice.
