Reserves Start Season Against Stevenage - Ipswich Town News
Town’s reserves start their season with a home game against League Two new boys Stevenage at Playford Road on Wednesday afternoon (KO 2pm). Reserves coach Chris Kiwomya is set to name a young side including the likes of Tom Eastman, Reggie Lambe, Josh Carson, Jack Ainsley and Billy Clark, with Arran Lee-Barrett in goal.
This season’s Totesport.com Combination League East Division contains only seven teams: Town, Stevenage, Colchester, Oxford, Luton, Watford and Southend. Norwich City have pulled out and plan to play only friendlies this season.
Last year Town’s second string, then led by Steve Foley, who left the club over the summer, finished second in the table behind Watford.
