Town will play Millwall away in the third round of the Carling Cup, the Blues’ fifth sucessive away draw in the competition, the eighth in both cups and the seventh since Roy Keane took over as boss.
Midfielder Liam Trotter moved to the Den from Portman Road during the summer, while striker Kevin Lisbie is on loan with the Lions for the season. Another former Blue, full-back or midfielder Scott Barron, signed a new three-year-deal with Kenny Jackett's club this week.
The teams last met in the Carling Cup at the second round stage in 2000/01, the Londoners winning the first leg 2-0 at the Den before Town went through after a 5-0 victory at Portman Road, three of those goals coming in extra time after the Lions had been reduced to nine men.
The ties will take place in the week commencing September 20th.
