Finidi Unstoppable - Wilnis - Ipswich Town News

Fabian Wilnis has been very impressed with Finidi George in training and reckons he will be "unstoppable" once he gets the chance to play in the Premiership. The Dutch full-back will be urging his side on this evening as they take on England at White Hart Lane.

Wilnis said of Finidi: "We may not have bought many new players this summer but those who have signed are real quality, especially Finidi. I've marked him a couple of times in training and he's very, very fast. I think he could be unstoppable when he gets going for us this season. People are expecting a lot from us this season so it's a big

test and a good chance to see how much we've developed. From a personal point of view, I'm desperate to play in every game. I know I've got strong competition but, apart from the disappointment of not starting against PSV Eindhoven, I've been happy with the way pre-season

has gone. I've got my fingers crossed."

The Town right-back sees tonight's game as a close and interesting one: "They are very similar sides. Both like to get forward and attack so it's difficult to say who'll win."

At the end of last season Wilnis' agent was told that Holland manager Louis Van Gaal would look at him this season with a view to a possible cap. Martijn Reuser will also be looking to add to the one cap he gained in a friendly with Ghana prior to joining the Blues.

Former Town star Bobby Petta could be in line for his first Holland cap this evening. Petta has been pencilled in to make a start if Marc Overmars fails a fitness test.
