Wright Set for MLS Trial - Ipswich Town News
Released Town keeper Richard Wright is reportedly set for a trial with Frank Yallop’s San Jose Earthquakes. Wright is said to be flying out to the US to try his luck with the MLS club later this week.
The 32-year-old, who has been training with George Burley’s Crystal Palace since leaving Town at the end of last season, was last week linked with Blackpool, who subsequently signed Ghanaian keeper Richard Kingson.
Meanwhile, ex-Blues striker James Scowcroft has joined his local club Bury Town. Scowcroft, 34, has been training with the Ryman League Premier Division side for some months having been released by Leyton Orient at the end of last season.
