Wright Not on Trial With Earthquakes - Ipswich Town News
Former Town defender Frank Yallop has dismissed claims that released Blues keeper Richard Wright is on trial with his San Jose Earthquakes side. Head coach Yallop, who played alongside Wright during the 32-year-old’s early years with Town, says the keeper is merely training with the MLS club.
The Earthquakes’ official website has confirmed that Wright is with Yallop’s squad but says there is nothing in reports earlier in the week claiming that the former England man is looking to win a contract.
Meanwhile, ex-Town striker Adam Proudlock, 29, is on trial with Blue Square North side AFC Telford United.
