Midgley Off? - Ipswich Town News

Town manager George Burley today said that he is willing to let striker Neil Midgley go if the price is right. Twenty-year-old Midgley is currently enjoying the second month of a very successful loan spell at Luton Town with fans of the Hatters keen that he signs on permanently. Midgley finds himself in fifth place for a starting shirt up front for Town with even eighteen-year-old Richard Logan ahead of him.

New Town 'keeper James Pullen warmed up for Friday's possible League debut in the perfect way in the reserves' draw last night at Carrow Road. The eighteen year-old signed recently from Heybridge Swifts put on an impressive display and even saved a penalty. George Burley has confirmed that Town will be withough Richard Wright for the first time since February 1997 when Craig Forrest played his last game for Town in a 2-1 win against Oxford. Mike Salmon is still sweating on a back injury.

Town's youth team have drawn Leeds United in the FA Youth Cup 3rd round. The game at Portman Road is on November 29th. Any replay will be at Elland Road on December 3rd.
