Want to Play Alongside Town Legends? - Ipswich Town News

If you’ve dreamt of playing alongside Town's heroes of the past, now’s the chance to make it a reality with places in the Legends side facing Colchester next month up for auction. Six shirts in each squad for the Sunday 17th October match at the Weston Homes Community Stadium (KO 3.30pm) are up for grabs.

The likes of Alex Mathie, Russell Osman, Matt Holland, Simon Milton, John Wark, Fabian Wilnis, James Scowcroft, Kevin Horlock, Gavin Johnson, Geraint Williams and David Johnson are expected to be in the Blues’ line-up, while the former U’s will include Mark Kinsella, Martin Grainger, Tony English, Peter Cawley and Paul Abrahams.

The winning bidders will get to play for 15 minutes of the match in a kit provided, will be in the dressing room before, during and after the game, will warm-up with the rest of the squad, be photographed as part of the team, get their name in the matchday programme and on the big screen and finally enjoy a post-match drink with the two sides.

If you’re interested, bid online now at http://reminiscent.colchesterunited.net (not all the auctions are always viewable on the page, refresh to see more). Tickets for the match — which will be priced £5 for adults and £1 for children - are expected to be available very soon.
