Academy Schoolboy Wins Welsh Cap - Ipswich Town News
Academy schoolboy Jack Simmons won his third Wales U17 cap this morning as his side lost 1-0 to Denmark in the first game of their European Championships qualifying group in Lithuania. Striker Simmons came on as a 58th minute sub.
First-year academy scholar Elliot Scotcher, a midfielder, was an unused sub for the Welsh, who next face the hosts on Friday and complete their fixtures with a game against Belgium next.
The top two teams in the group go through to the elite round of qualifying in spring 2011.
