Reported Town target Luke Moore has joined Derby on a 29-day emergency loan. The West Brom man has been linked with the Blues on a number of occasions in recent weeks having been left out of the Baggies’ 25-man Premier League squad.
Moore came on as a late sub for the Rams in Saturday's 5-0 drubbing of Crystal Palace. The striker’s team-mate Joe Mattock was also claimed to be on his way to Portman Road, however, a left-back is one of the areas of the squad where Town are well covered, with Darren O’Dea, Mark Kennedy and Damien Delaney over their injuries and Shane O’Connor also not far from a return to action.
Meanwhile, released keeper Richard Wright has confirmed that he spoke to Crystal Palace and Hull regarding potential moves in the summer before agreeing his four-month spell at Sheffield United.
Wright, 32, is pleased to have the chance to play games again: "All I want is to be with a club where I have the chance of first team involvement, and I know I shall be given that opportunity at Bramall Lane.
"It was disappointing not to get another opportunity at Ipswich, even though I understand how things work in football.
"But it was frustrating because, being a local lad, I was desperate to do well for Ipswich. Sadly, it wasn’t to be. All I want to do now is play as much as I can for Sheffield United.”
