Free Sports Sessions For Kids - Ipswich Town News
The ITFC Charitable Trust is running another of its free Active8it Plus healthy lifestyles initiatives for kids this month. The sessions, which started on October 5th and take place every Tuesday from 4.30pm-6.30pm, are open to 12-to-16-year-olds.
Those coming along will participate in multiple sports activities which will include kickboxing, basketball, rounders, cricket, yoga, ten-pin bowling, dodgeball and, of course, football, as well as learning why it's important to maintain a healthy body weight.
Since its inception, the ITFC Charitable Trust has aimed to get young people from around the county involved in programmes which offer advice and activities which increase their awareness about healthy lifestyles. More than 79% of the children who have attended previous Activ8it Plus sessions ended the course with considerable improvements in their fitness levels.
For further information about the sessions call 01473 400589 or email james.colchester@itfc.co.uk.
The ITFC Charitable Trust, which until recently was known as the Community Trust, is on Facebook here. The page gives all the latest news and information about the Trust’s courses and projects.
