O\'Donnell Wins Cap - Ipswich Town News
Academy keeper Conor O’Donnell picked up his first Republic of Ireland U17 cap this afternoon as his side lost 1-0 to Norway in their final European Championships qualifying group game in Malta.
Despite the defeat, O’Donnell’s team go through to the elite qualifying stage having finished second in their group behind Norway after winning both their previous games.
Town defender Nicolay Schrøder again missed out for the Norwegians and wasn’t even amongst the subs, so may have picked up an injury.
Both players are due to fly back in tomorrow in time for Saturday’s U18 game against Chelsea at Playford Road (KO 11am).
