Keane: Town No Nearer to Adding Loanee - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Roy Keane says he is no nearer to adding a further loanee to his squad but at the moment is happy with the players he already has. The Blues manager had been targeting two further short-term signings.
Keane said: "There have been no developments. We’re fairly happy with the group with have at the moment, so I’ve not really made any further attempts to bring anyone into the club, but we look at that on a daily basis. At the moment I don’t think there’s any need, so there’s no news on that.”
The Town boss could hand a full debut to his most recent loan signing, Tottenham’s Jake Livermore, when the Blues take on Leeds at Portman Road tomorrow.
Keane says defender Darren O’Dea is the biggest injury doubt with his ongoing knee problem. Tommy Smith is his likely deputy despite the back injury which could see him miss New Zealand’s friendlies in the international fortnight.
Troy Brown and Grant Leadbitter suffered knocks at Reading but trained this morning and are likely to be OK to face Leeds.
