Wickham Nets On England U19 Debut - Ipswich Town News
Town striker Connor Wickham netted a debut goal for England’s U19s as they defeated Albania 6-1 in the opening game of their European Championships qualifying group in Belgium this afternoon.
Wickham added the third goal just before half-time, having come close on a number of earlier occasions.
The 17-year-old was replaced with 20 minutes remaining, presumably as a precaution with a match against Cyprus on Sunday and against the hosts on Wednesday.
Town could have three players involved in full internationals later this evening.
