O\'Dea Out for Six Weeks - Ipswich Town News

On-loan Town defender Darren O’Dea is out for six weeks having undergone a knee operation last week. Celtic's O’Dea suffered the problem while away with the Republic of Ireland last month and had been struggling with the injury since then.

Boss Roy Keane said:”Darren O’Dea had an operation last week and will probably be out for about six weeks.

"That goes to show that you need people like Damien Delaney and Tommy Smith ready to play, just like Tommy was called up half an hour before the game against Leeds.

"That’s the only blow to us over the last week or so. Darren’s done really well for us and he’s a really good lad.”

Keane says there were no new injuries amongst the senior players who have been away on international duty, while Connor Wickham is back from England U19 duty this afternoon.
