Youngsters Could Go Out on Loan - Ipswich Town News

Blues boss Roy Keane says he’s considering whether to let one or two of the younger members of his squad leave on loan in order to gain experience. The Town manager says Republic of Ireland U19 international striker Ronan Murray is amongst those interesting lower league sides.

Keane said: "We’ve spoken to a club over the last few days about one of the boys but I’m reluctant at the moment. But if it’s the right deal and the right club we’ll let them go, if you’re talking about Jack Ainsley, Seb Dunbar or whoever it might be.

"We’ve had enquiries for Ronan, but we’ll see. We want to look after ourselves as well. Some of these boys have to do slightly better in the reserves to get good options because there will be clubs watching them when they’re playing in the reserves.

"I bumped into a manager at Colchester a few weeks ago but I knew I wouldn’t be getting any calls after that game given that performance.”

Gillingham assistant boss Ian Hendon was amongst those watching that match, while Leyton Orient were also represented.
