Lambe on Target for Bermuda - Ipswich Town News
Winger Reggie Lambe scored as Bermuda’s U20s beat Antigua and Barbuda 2-0 in their second U20 World Cup qualifying group game in Guadeloupe overnight. Lambe opened the scoring in the 68th minute with Troy Tucker of the Somerset Eagles adding the second with nine minutes to go.
The victory means that Bermuda, who drew 1-1 with Guadeloupe in their opening game, go through to the next stage of U20 World Cup qualifying and could win the three-team group with the hosts needing to beat the Antiguans by two clear goals in their final game to overtake them. The group winners will qualify for the CONCACAF U20 Championship in Guatemala in April.
The 19-year-old will not be back at Town in time to be involved in the Blues' Carling Cup tie against Northampton on Tuesday.
