Reserves Face Spurs - Ipswich Town News

Some of Roy Keane’s squad will have the chance to press their claims for a place in Sunday’s derby team when the reserves travel to Spurs for a behind-close-doors friendly later today. Jaime Peters and Connor Wickham are expected to be amongst those out to make a case for their inclusion in the starting line-up at Carrow Road.

Colin Healy and Alan Quinn are also likely to be involved in today's game as they return from injuries. Healy has been out with hamstring and groin problems, while Quinn, who recently spent time back in Ireland after a family bereavement, has been sidelined since pre-season, also with a groin injury.

The Blues are currently without one or two regular first team squad members and Keane says he is looking forward to having the Irish midfield duo available again: "It’ll be nice to have two good senior players back in the squad.”

Gareth McAuley (achilles), Mark Kennedy (hamstring) and Luke Hyam (hamstring) all missed Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Hull, while young defender Tom Eastman suffered a groin injury late in that game.
