Ramsey Medals on Display - Ipswich Town News

Sir Alf Ramsey's medals have gone on display at Christie's today along with other memorabilia. International caps, his championship medals won as a player as well as Town's manager and, of course, mementoes from the 1966 World Cup.

The collections is expected to fetch around £50,000 in the bi-annual football memorabilia sale on 27th September.

Lady Ramsey said: "It was Sir Alfred's wish that his collection be made available to his many supporters during his 50-year footballing career. The collection, amassed together during his many successful years involved in the English game, is now to be offered at auction at Christie's for all to share and enjoy."

Jim Magilton has been called up for Northern Ireland's World Cup matches with Denmark on September 1st and Iceland on September 5th
