Finidi's Game One of the Best Ever! - Ipswich Town News

OPTA, the stats people, have revealed that Finidi George's performance during yesterday's 3-1 win over Derby was one of the best their statisicians had ever witnessed. The Town midfielder amassed 3,347 points, the highest so far this season and one of the top ever.

He made eleven dribbles and found Town players with 87% of his passes. His pass completion in the Derby half of the field was 85%. That's 25% better than last season's average.

Finidi seems determined to do well for Town and sayd he hopes the Blues can do even better than last season: "If we can keep the spirit up like this then maybe we can get somewhere and do even better than last year. I think the whole team did very well and I am happy with the two goals I scored in my first game at home in front of our own supporters. After the first day it was lovely and I hope it continues like this. I felt tired but I went on and on. I hope in the next game I can score more goals. I didn't have the chance to play too many friendly games so I am using these first few matches to get ready."

That's getting ready is it? Blimey.
